"I cannot change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination" -Jimmy Dean
When I was in grade school, before the days of the HGTV craze, I would tell people "when I grow up, I want to decorate the inside of people's houses". I didn't even know what that job title was, but I knew that it was the only thing I wanted to do. When it came time to choose my major in college, interior design was a no-brainer. From there I started working as a designer in the commercial interior design industry. As much as I love that world, however, I felt I lost a bit of the creative side of myself.
Enter in my idea to start my own home staging and styling business...
It was an idea that popped in my head one random day (maybe it was all the HGTV shows I watch regularly?!), and when it did, it was like all the stars aligned in that very moment. I want to decorate the inside of people's houses!
Reunited with my fire!
There are seven elements of interior design (nine, when you consider staging): space, line, form, light, pattern, texture and color (I added illusion and neutrality for staging). All of these elements in an interior space have an emotional effect on us, whether we live there, or we're in there for five minutes. My goal is to use these elements in a way to provoke positive feelings and help you make the best first impression, no matter your budget. If you're selling, I will help maximize your home's appeal to sell faster, and get top dollar. If you're moving into a new home, or you want to refresh your current home, and you just can't decide what to do with it, I will find perfect, practical solutions to make you feel happy and comfortable in your space.
I look forward to working with you!
